Stalking can happen on the Internet confirms a new survey by National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and McAfee Security, which found that one in five Americans are online victims. Users have come in contact with someone online who made them feel uncomfortable through stalking, persistent emails, and other aggressive outreach attempts.
The survey found that over 60 percent of respondents don't report the crime to authorities.
