A team of attorneys and legal interns from the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law reviewed every single constitutional case Judge Sotomayor decided in her decade on the Second Circuit.
After reviewing 1,194 cases the Brennan Center found that Judge Sotomayor was squarely in the center of the mainstream between Republican and Democratic decisions. Accusations of "judicial activism" are misguided, the review concludes.
