Janice Fedarcyk has been named assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York Division, reports MainJustice.com. She is the first woman to head the high-profile New York office. Fedarcyk replaces Joseph Demarest, who is now FBI assistant director for international operations. Demarest is subject to an internal investigation into statements he made about a relationship he allegedly had with a subordinate in the New York office.
Fedarcyk, with the FBI since 1987, has headed the FBI’s Philadelphia Division since 2007. She started in Los Angeles and served at FBI headquarters and Baltimore before Philadelphia. Her experience in counterterrorism includes work as the FBI’s representative to the National Counterterrorism Center, Directorate of Strategic Operational Planning and as agent in charge of the Counterterrorism Division in Los Angeles. Demarest had been brought in by FBI director Robert Mueller in late 2008 to improve the relationship between the New York City Police Department and the FBI.

How quick Pennsylvanians forget how the FBI
tried to recently take out world famous Pittsburgh forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht. In 1965 Dr. Wecht said the FBI and other members of the US Government were behind the assassination of President Kennedy when he presented evidence that the Warren Commission autopsy reports were fake. When you are the law enforcement agency investigating the crime you committed you can almost get away with the crime until someone shows you faked the evidence.
