The FBI is weighing more than a half dozen candidates, including two women, to head its New York office, one of the bureau’s largest and busiest, with priorities that range from terrorism cases to fraud on Wall Street, reports MainJustice.com. The assistant director in New York, as the top agent there is known, is also an influential figure in the bureau’s senior managerial ranks by virtue of the position. In recent years, the top agent in New York has shared, and sometimes vied for, the limelight with Raymond Kelly, the aggressive New York police commissioner.
With the reassignment of Joseph Demarest as head of the office, after an internal inquiry into answers he gave about an alleged affair with a subordinate, among those in contention to succeed him include George Venizelos, who was temporarily promoted from an administrative job to take over from Demarest. Three others are agents in charge in other cities: Andrew Arena of Detroit. Janice Fedarcyk of Philadelphia and James Davis of Denver in Denver. Another contender is Amy Jo Lyons, an assistant director of the Inspection Division, a headquarters unit which carries out internal audits and sensitive investigations.

The family of the Iman have hired renowned forensic pathlogist Dr Cyril Wecht to examine the autopsy report.
Dr Wecht was targeted himself with criminal charges 3 years ago by the Pittsburgh FBI agent Brian Orsini. A jury found Dr Wecht innocent of all 51 charges. During the trial it was discovered FBI agent Orsini had a history of engaging in fraudulent behaviour working as a FBI agent and had been disciplined for that and other outrageous behaviors. see
